2013 - extending of the list of publishers

  • On 1st of July 2013 the list of publishers was extended and Centre for Open and Multimedia Education of University of Warsaw was accepted to be the main publisher. The other publishers are: Polish Scientific Society of Internet Education (PTNEI), Centre for Distance Education of Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of Gdańsk University of Technology.

2012 - journal expansion

  • 3rd issue of the journal contained the papers from the Virtual University 2011 conference
  • registration of the journal in the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), Index Copernicus and CEJSH (the Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities) indexing databases
  • internationalization of the journal (broadening the Programme Committee with three representatives of foreign universities)
  • development of a new graphic design of the journal
  • open licence and Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND
  • website and editorial process restructuring according to Ministerial requirements (Ministerial ISI Master Journal List)
  • change in the frequency of issuing the journal (currently twice a year)

2011 - organisational changes

  • extension of the Editorial Board
  • transfer of the journal to the server of the Centre for Open and Multimedia Education (COME) at the University of Warsaw
  • call for papers for the next issue; 2011 issue was published at the beginning of 2012

2010 - the first issue of the journal

  • development of the graphic design of the journal
  • publication of the first issue of the journal
  • obtaining ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) number

2009 - first steps

  • creation of the concept of a scientific, electronic, open access journal
  • choosing the journal name
  • Programme Committee and the Editorial Board have been set and started to operate
  • official registration of the journal
  • website and OJS system launch at the Warsaw University of Technology server
