Mappa Mundi of the Hidden Internet. Categorizing Internet communication channels
Summary
Hereby article is an attempt to categorize and popularization of hidden content on the Internet. At first the concept of Hidden Nets, as well as the other terms including colloquial was analyzed and defined. The most comprehensive part contains a systematic analysis of the content and technical aspects of the Hidden Nets. The following eight areas were distinguished: content published on the web, but not available in the Google search engine, top-level domain infrastructure, alternative top level domains, pseudo top level domains, the „old” Internet services (Web 0.0), intranets / extranets separated from the Internet, information systems management and control, and Internet background radiation.
